Cooler weather and better flows this summer

Postby Rusty Spinner on August 4th, 2017, 12:52 pm

For the most part, that is. We have some nights lately in the 50s and daytime highs mostly in the upper 70s and 80s, but not so much of the 90s and dry like we've had the last several years. I have been too busy to fish much, but some of my local buddies are out very often for trout, especially at night or early mornings. I see Saturday night temps in the low 50s coming up and we're getting about normal rain which suddenly seems like excessive rains because we have gotten used to precious little rain. Let's hope we finally get a good spawning year for a change this fall.

Another substantial rain predicted for tomorrow and I am hoping that this pattern continues through the Fall.

How do those fish seem to be holding over so far this summer? I haven't fished the Flat since last winter.
