How Many Days a Week do you Tie?

Postby Twism86 on Sun Feb 07, 2010 3:23 pm

Myself, a few times a month at most. I always say im going to sit down and tie but i end up being lazy or just doing something else. I think its because i dont have a set area with my vice and materials ready to go. I have to un-pack everything from my bag which usually changes my mind.

One of the choices should have been rarely.......seems the more fly tying stuff that I have the less I tie........

You should have let us select multiple options. I tie more in the winter but tie when I need flies during the season too.

I have the same tying habits - 2-3 times/week during the winter and as needed the rest of the year, so I did not select an option.

I tie mostly in winter to restock our boxes. I also tie throughout the year to make new flies (iris caddis last year), or to replenish the flies that I have lost.

I tie very intermittently. I generally tie before a fishing trip and go overboard. I can go months without tying and then go crazy for a few weeks for no apparent reason.

Me too. And I just signed up for a 16 person fly swap so I'll need to get busy with that as well.
