sizes I would fish with for trout in the NJ area probably 14 or 16

Caught shad for the first time this year out of the Delaware and let me tell you forget catching trout go catch a shad. Unless you are catching big trout the fight that the shad give you is awesome

It was better years ago when they never did videos about the stocking to be honest

Fish probably went straight onto a stringer but people are suppose to C&R the fish to receive the prize

Look at the trees and plants in the picture everything is green. Thats the early spring not now

Honestly wish the would make the river a TCA from KLG all the Wild trout section of river in long valley.

Lots of wild trout in this section and so many more would come if the lowered the stocking and the pressure dropped

So Zero trout hold over the summer in the Raritan river, not a SINGLE fish, but I catch trout in the Raritan river in the fall that is not fall stocked, why is that ? the NT has be as certain percentage for holdover I'm sure a 5 to 10 % do holdover because they find springs but not enough to remove...

I found a brown trout next week with much worse looking disease-markings, folks from PA boat and fish responded back, was seen by someone at least. not sure where they will do with it. Nothing will be done by them. The stock the sick fish they dont care. They took all the sick fish a few years ago ...

Yeah that fish does look like a wild fish and not healthy at all

Spruce run creek gets a lot if fishing pressure so I'm okay with the stocked rainbows.

Also the creek took a big impact from the quarry spill

Nice wild brown that section you fished has alot of wild fish as well. Havent fished it in a while but one year that spot by the bridge the stock around Christmas time was loaded with wild brookies
