When do you wade and feel safe on the main TCAs?
I'd say:
Pequest 350 cfs
SBR 300 cfs
Musky 400 cfs
Good luck to those heading out!

Re: A PSA about your PSA
Who can recommend a doctor or facility near Califon area? Seriously.
I got my scrip to get the procedure, but have not pulled the trigger. Fun BS fact - my insurance will pay for it, if I'm 50. I'm not, and so I'll pay for this one. I got the message from Jim, too.

Re: stringer culling etiquette ?
Before calling or engaging, take pictures or video. Try to get a clear shot of a license or car with plates. Then call. You may text those to a responding officer and it is in their court, so to speak, but is the evidence needed to take steps. Cops and COs are armed and trained. It ain't worth any p...

Apps for weather and flows
Which do you use? Monitor my stream is my site for flows, but I'm interested in a weather app if anyone has one that they recommend.

Let's try that again. These old eyes...
Some kind and thoughtful person found boots at the park in Califon. They are of the fly fishing, or at least wading, variety. We'll keep them at South Branch Outfitters until claimed.

Re: Caddis "dry flly"
I mean, specifically, an elk wing caddis. Does anyone choose an elk or deer hair as the ONLY fly to fish. You're standing there, thinking, "now, finally, I can throw that tan elk wing caddis."
Just caddis dry as a go-to top choice favorite solo dry fly.
Anyone?

Caddis "dry flly"
Just a random question...how often do you put on and only fish an elk wing caddis. No dropper. Just a top water elk (or deer) TOP water fly?

Price we pay. I really make an effort to keep things zipped up. How many phone and packs of smokes lost?!? Gladly, I don't smoke anymore and rarely bring the phone. I find I am a calmer angler if the promise of a fish pick doesn't make me rush to get a fish to net.

On the musky in Port Murray. WW is Willy's wieners, a now defunct hot dog joint whose demise, I'm sure, has nothing to do with its unappetizing name. The food wasn't great either.

I saw some tire tracks going down the drive too. Did he officially end the easement? I remember when stocking was stopped, maybe that's my answer.

Now that willy is selling, and the chain is down, is it legal to fish the former Cliffside park access? Some may know I lived across the street and hit that water frequently. I'm curious to see how it looks after about 4 years.

As testament to Jim's unwavering will, the shop remaims open. The summer hours are slightly reduced on weekends - noon close - but the team is steadfast and moving forward into Shannon's 50th year. Monday, I was up at my usual pre-dawn hour and decided to go to the river and think about Jim and othe...

How were the fish? Looks like something out of a Travers story. I'm adding this to the list!
