Re: Lower Wanaque Damaged Severely

The only way to protect our waters from harmful activity is through citizen action. Don't count on state or local oversight and enforcement without public pressure. I am learning from experience with Green Brook in Watchung.

I find covering the body and neoprene waders (no leaks, use trash bags if u cant find that pinhole) to be good. Gloves and a balaclava; the more skin you have exposed the colder youre gonna get, especially with strong wind.

What are the trash bags for?

They should consider the Meadowlands for a location, plenty of nearby lodging and the out of state vendors can easily visit NYC after the show if they want.
From the hungover appearance of some of the exhibitors on Sunday it seems they were able to find NYC from Edison.

Re: Fall Stocking

Thanks for the replies. I fished a #10 black Wooly Bugger (no bead) with a #14 beadhead Psyhco-Prince dropper on the North Branch of the Raritan River for about an hour and a half this afternoon with no results. The shallower stretch I was fishing was being pounded pretty hard by careless wading. At...

Fall Stocking

What are your favorite flies and techniques for freshly stocked fall trout? Buggers, eggs, mops, streamers? Size? Colors? Retrieve?

Re: What color buggers do you like

What about style of WB? I like the way Tim Flager ties them (see link attached) but maybe with a conehead and a couple of strips of flash tied along the sides. I think the very full marabou tail is best unlike my preference for sparse tying on most flies. https://youtu.be/7Ku1-lnkKzI Has anyone trie...

Re: Euro nymph

I had a Sage ESN 10-6/3wt in my hand at Tight Lines Sage casting clinic last week. Super light, well balanced. But $900 to flip a sighter 25 feet -- C'mon!
