Re: South Branch Advise

I know they are finicky by nature, but I also wonder if they smarten up from every shithead throwing things at them all day or trying to snag them.

That is actually an embarrassment and some public works department should do something about it.

Re: Trout dumped off bridge :

I was young once too, but it is painful to see. Maybe let a few of the bigger ones go...

When I throw them back I am always thinking they'll be there for a kid or myself to catch another day, but I know that chances are they'll be toast from one way or another.

#12 Fly Dry Dropper Setup

Folks, Definite newbie here, so I sincerely apologize if this is an amateur question. The place I'll be fishing this upcoming weekend is fishing very well with #12 October caddis. Usually the droppers I am running off of a dry are the same size so I have not worried about having to mix anything up. ...

Re: Columbia Dam removal

It probably screws up other stuff, but some of the places I fish in Maryland are tailwater of deep water releases from dams. In my experience, the rivers never get above 62 degrees and the trout fishing puts ours to shame.

There is a bayside pier behind Morrison's Marina in Beach Haven. You can probably entertain yourself putzing around for snapper blues.

Re: Small Mouth

Thanks lightenup. My spots on the SBR hold solid numbers of trout so i try to avoid catching them. Any size fly or streamer that is a good rule of thumb for being too big for trout to hit?

Small Mouth

The future temps are surely to put most of the rivers in the trout danger zone. With that said, I am looking to try to fish for smallmouth with the fly rod. Does anybody know of any parking areas along the Delaware in hunterdon county that can provide me with wading opportunities for smallies?

Re: Introductions!

Hi everyone. I am new to the site but have been reading your posts for awhile before registering. I am from hunterdon county and mostly fish for trout with an 8'6" 4wt fly rod. I picked up the hobby this year and have really enjoyed it. It is hard to find time to fish with a young family, but i was ...
