Meet older gentlemen name Matt on the water the am👍. I was fishing up in the upper ramapo river. Had a few work assignments up that way. So I had a few hours to kill. Re: so angry at myself- wild brown

Its part of fishing. Anytime you fish with any tackle. whether it be fly or spin. barbless or barb. The risk is there for killing a fish. The only way to enjoy fishing without any lethal outcome is to watch them in the water with binoculars

Re: West Branch Flow from Reservoir to Drop to ZERO

Imo with no water flow = very little fish movement. Higher cfm's usually meant increase fish movements overnite. With the outside seasonal ambient temps the way they are. There is no risk any fish deaths due to temperature. I fished my last days up in that area for the season. As there will be trout...

Anything a fly rod can catch would be acceptable to me.

The green you saw is the last of the bottom release water after a long, hot summer coming out of the Cannonsville dam on the West Branch above Deposit.
Thank you sir......

quick trip to Hancock NY today

Took a quick trip up to Hancock NY after I fished the Upper Delaware West Branch in Deposit today. Scored some browns. Nothing to brag about. Average size was between 14-18 inch's. The water had a green stain to it today. Looked like peas soup. So I traveled into Hancock as the water temps has coole...
