Re: Sad News Bosebuck Camps - Maine

Thanks for the Bob M. suggestion, Owner ship up there definitely has changed. the prior owners claim to have no idea as to what the future holds for the camp. Damn shame.

I'd rather fry up the pellets they are fed with than eat a stocked trout.

Super Fly

Since early this spring I have fished one single fly patterns, and caught ALL trout with this fly, including an 18 1/2 " landlocked on the Magalloway. Except one brookie on a small G G.

This is one hell of a producer, and an easy tie to boot

Re: Native Fish Coalition looking to add a NJ chapter

Rusty,
I am a member already. I am interested to pursue if we can get a group together.

It would be welcome alternative to TU's fly tying and FF 101 routines.........

Re: New fly tiers

I would start with a Green Weenie,
It does not get much more simple:
>put hook into vice
>thread bobbin
>put on foundation
>tie on chenille
>Whip finish.

Headwaters Passaic R -Jockey Hollow NHP and the Audubon societys Scherman Hoffman Sanctuary

I have not been back in there for a long time (5 years?),
Is in there still an opportunity to chase some wild brookies, or perhaps even an wild brown? Anyone have any current info?
Many thanks!

Another Access Question

Anybody know?
Is there still public fishing access to the Musky behind the former Cassia Grill Restaurant (now Willie's Wieners) on US 57?

Brett's thoghts from Rangeley Sport Shop

It most applies just as well to New Jersey! "On my walk in the woods today I stopped for a moment and rested from the concerns of the week. The trees swayed in the moist breeze as the late season snow fell to the ground. It occurred that the CoViD 19 and travel bans and fears around us had absolutel...

Re: Fly storage

Just floated the Beaverhead a couple of weeks with a guide. He had a very simple solution: a Maxwell House Coffee Can for his nymphs, all ten thousand of them... Made things really easy! I am adopting the the same system, for my nyphs, just on a smaller scale. No more putting them all inn order unti...
