Re: March Browns?
I was down at the Pequannock looking around and did not see much in the way of bugs. I used to hit great hatches in the poconos Memorial day weekend. I usually see March Browns on the Pequannock all of May. Granted there are not tons of them but fish take the drys.

Re: Caddis "dry flly"
Roy, for me the answer varies. If chasing native brookies in a small stream, the standard run of the mill tan elk hair dry is as good a fly as you can ask for. On bigger rivers when the trout are taking emerging caddis below the surface film, seldom. But I will try a spent wing caddis which is the ...

Re: Wild trout
I love to see wild fish coming out of the Musky, especially browns. I have not been to the lower section in a decade at least. I would hope with all the work done that the population of wild browns has been expanding. I am curious if anyone see redds in the main river or if the spawning is only taki...

Re: Bamboo rod repair
I would go with Art. I would think he would be more willing to do it as a full time rodmaker and his prices are very good. You can also try dennis menscer up at the West Branch. I am also friend with a gentleman named Munsey Wheby who i think would do it but you would have to send it. He is also a g...

Re: Has anyone here fished the Little Lehigh in Allentown ?
I am 46 and used to drive through the area at times to pick up my roomate in allentown on my way to school at WVU. The area is unrecognizable compared to 20 years ago. The amount of development is off the charts. I have never fished it, but don't see how a spring creek in that area can maintain thro...

Re: A huge wild brown...
In 2014 it had decent shocking numbers. I have heard bed reports on this stream forever, I think it is probably pounded. It was most likely the source of the wild browns in the Rockaway in Dover.

Spin fishing gear
I know basically nothing about spin fishing anymore. What kind/size spinning rod and reel do you use for trout. Also what are the popular spinners people use and what size. Thanks in advance. I want to get my kids fishing, and I want to slowly work them into fly rods.

Re: Fishing near Scranton University
The Lackawanna is probably the best Trophy trout river in the state just behind the West Branch. Not sure the laws as part of it is Trophy, and very little of it is stocked. What Joe said. Giant browns that run you into submerged shopping carts and break you off. . Some have said the biggest fish i...
