Re: recommendation on a GREAT pair of wading boots
Chota's for sure - haven't replaced mine in a while but make me think i should start looking. I also picked up a pair of Simms fly weight boots for more remote hike in fishing in early spring, fall and winter and really like them. These days wet wading is the prime way to go. Simms wading shoe/sanda...

Re: Wild Brook trout
Has anyone noticed the same correlation with chubs and Brook trout? Fished a brook I haven’t been to in more than a few years. Brook trout numbers were never off the charts high at this spot but the avg size made you for the lack of numbers. High gradient stream below a dam. Fished it hard for nearl...

Re: KLG question
Went saturday. Crowded. Fishing was slow - managed a few fish including a nice brown in the pocket water. Turned a massive rainbow in one of the slow deep pool on a sz 18 midge nymph but didn't get a hookset. Colder than I though it would be so spent only 2 1/2 hours until our toes and fingers hurt....

Re: KLG question
even better. I vaguely remember some changes a while back - perhaps it was they stopped stocking brookies and browns over existing populations but that was before the problems at the request and now they only stock rainbow, dunno...

KLG question
Looking for local options to give noob an intro to fly fishing. Haven't been to KLG in many many years but curious how its held up since the stocking ceased. Suspect the numbers of file per mile are down but is there enough to make it interesting this time of the year? Appreciating its going to be m...

Re: India Brook mischeif
These mf’rs are back at it. Took a family hike. They had truck and heavy equipment working right up to the riverbed On the hike up. Photos from the hike back down. Clearly looking to poach some water. Does anyone know if they have permit/permission to do this. 9C6D72B9-ABE2-49B4-8FF6-17614B53B4D8.jp...

The dam is naturally crumbling but it has a long way to go for sure.... unless someone helps it along.

Re: Dry fly floatant
hands down frogs fanny - use the untreated fly until it sinks - dust with frogs fanny and it float like a cork until you're next fish or you drown it.... don't use silicone and then try to dry with FF. doesn't work as well.
someone else mentioned on CDC its the only thing that works.

Re: Provo River UT

As i remember a lot of accessible water with good numbers of big fish. mostly double nymphs under a float and some midge dry fishing later in the day. Fished with Trout Bums 2 guides out of park c...
