Wild Browns?
Got out this morning for a few hours before the rain started. Wasn’t expecting much with all the snow melt/runoff. Fished an area known for wild browns so I’m thinking these two I got are wild. They both came out of deeper pools. What do you guys think? Wild?

Can anyone recommend a place online to order flies? And any suggestions on what ones to use this time of year?

Re: The KLG
There was no shortage of trout when I fished it this past June. Is it possible birds ate them?

Re: Question
Hello All, I recently saw an older video of Tom Pagliaroni fishing the Musky in the summer and winter. I'm interested to know if he was fishing on public or private water? The Trout seem quite large and numerous for off season. Private. And those fish were probably stocked in that spot the day befo...

Re: Vest or waist-pack? (And what about the net?)
I use a waist pack from Walmart and I love it. It actually has a nice loop on it that I attach my net to and then the net goes over my shoulder. It works perfect.

Re: South Branch 4-27
Have you ever tried fly fishing? I used to spin fish until I tried the fly.....it's addictive, and waaaaaay cooler. :D I actually just got back into trout fishing last April after almost 20 years of just saltwater. I was considering making the plunge into fly fishing this past winter but it seems t...

Got to the river at 530 this morning. It was still dark so I took my time going in. Water was a little on the high side and murky. Started fishing by 6. Had a couple of bumps on salmon eggs but couldn’t hook them. I noticed about 3 or 4 fish breaking the surface in a few different areas so I decided...

Re: Dark trout?
Thanks for the info. I just thought it was strange that this one fish was so much darker than all the others.Rusty Spinner wrote: ↑Thu Apr 26, 2018 2:56 pmI've seen Pequest bows much darker than even that. It's just normal color variation.

Dark trout?
Caught this guy along with a about a dozen other ones this morning on a small stream. He is much darker than all the trout that I’ve caught since opening day. Is he a fish that was stocked in the fall? Or just one that happens to be darker than the others that have been getting stocked lately?

Re: South Branch 4/19
Scud...freshwater shrimp, they come in lots of colors and sizes and the SBR has loads of them, also could have been midge larvae, but if the looked like shrimp more than tiny worms with bigger head they were probably scuds.....buy a fly rod, get some scud imitations and have fun!!! Just my guess..;...

Fished four different spots this morning that are usually pretty heavily stocked. First spot first cast fish on. Caught around 8 in the first 30 minutes. After that it was like somebody flipped the switch because for the next 45 minutes I didn’t even get a bite. Next spot I fished for close to an ho...

Dangerous hip waders
I have a pair of rubber sole hip boots that are unbelievably slippery on the rocks. I’d love to glue felt to the bottom of them. Anyone ever try it? If so what kind of glue and felt would work best?
