I should probably add that I regularly took water temps while on that job and they were nearly always right around 60F in the morning and maxed out at 67F in the late afternoons, and water was very low nearly every day. Historically low, in fact.

New regulations in effect starting today. No more than 2 trout can be kept in General Regulations waters starting today (June 1). The idea is to keep more fish in holdover waters for early Fall when temps drop and anglers once again focus on trout.

Seems they are now catching them out front in boats and not just the back bays and rivers. Had a buddy out in his 23' Tidewater yesterday and they landed 10. Not on fire, but ten is a good number to start out with for the new season.

My only fishing thus far in '26 has been ice fishing. I plan to get out at some point this week, likely over in PA. Hendricksons are starting to hatch on local rivers and streams.

I will be working in CT myself, so no RVTU Opening Day Shenanigans if they are holding it this year for me. But I expected a few to mention it. Off to Mass. tomorrow for some survey work. Hope many of you have plans to get on the water soon.
