I use Len Wright’s fluttering caddis which uses stiff hackle for the down wing. I carry about ten variations of sizes and colors. Orvis has a great guide to caddis flies and I treat them more like mayflies, each a unique hatch and fly.

I don’t finish As much as I used to, I will still carry at least six full boxes of flies. I still use a vest and the box of flies is so light it doesn’t matter. You never know when you might get a green drake hatch in the middle of August!

Don't forget the Musky Shrimp! Parts of the Musky are loaded with shrimp and scuds. Fish it near the bottom.

I went barbless for C&R way before it was required. I know that I do less damage releasing a trout than with a barb.

Did they close the State Forests? I have a cabin rented in mid-May at Stokes. My wife passed away last week and it has been difficult.
