Re: Fishing Emergers Question

For a Sulphur hatch I would go with a Tup’s Indispendable soft hackle.

Re: Thank You for 15 Years of GST!!

Thanks for keeping this site going! Due to health reasons I have not been able to fish in the last year or so, but I still enjoy checking in every day and seeing what’s going on. Thanks for your support and the service you provide.

Re: Caddis "dry flly"

I use Len Wright’s fluttering caddis which uses stiff hackle for the down wing. I carry about ten variations of sizes and colors. Orvis has a great guide to caddis flies and I treat them more like mayflies, each a unique hatch and fly.

Re: Fly box set up

I don’t finish As much as I used to, I will still carry at least six full boxes of flies. I still use a vest and the box of flies is so light it doesn’t matter. You never know when you might get a green drake hatch in the middle of August!

Don't forget the Musky Shrimp! Parts of the Musky are loaded with shrimp and scuds. Fish it near the bottom.

Re: Barbless Regulations and Their Pointlessness

I went barbless for C&R way before it was required. I know that I do less damage releasing a trout than with a barb.

Re: Provo River UT

I fished the Provo in late April about 8 years ago with a guide. Small nymphs and dry midges did the trick. Naturally I did not land the "big one" but the fishing was great. I hope you enjoyed yourself.
