I am new to fishing for Smallies...It has been really fun so far. I have mainly been hitting spots on the Raritan. Any other rivers/lakes (Not RV or SR!) in Northern/Central NJ good for this time of year that people like? I heard the Paulins Kill is pretty good for them. These spots were found with ...

That fort is a 15 min walk upstream of the big Claremont pool / old bridge parking area. I saw it about 1.5 months ago. Some HS kids just hanging out...they were actually cleaning up the river and that area it seemed. Hopefully, they keep it clean. There was also an old fridge in the water at the ta...

Re: Barbless Regulations and Their Pointlessness

The section below the reservoir to the 287 Bridge is now a WTS I believe and no longer stocked...I was just there 2 weeks ago and caught nothing. It was my first time fishing there...was just exploring new water.
Some parts looked ok...a lot of downed trees in the river.

I was there that day and saw it happen. I recognized the guys from the previous week.
