Anyone Hit A No Kill Stretch This Weekend?

Did you find it stocked?

As for myself I was working around the yard, best to get it out of the way ASAP. More time for fishing during prime bug season.

Re: Sink Tip Fly Line

Thanks all for the replies. I was thinking our streams may be to shallow under normal conditions, needed others thoughts experiences before investing in a sink tip line. Need to sleep on it. I have a spare reel, may be worth the investment for the Upper Delaware. I see some really inexpensive sink t...

Sink Tip Fly Line

Do you use one? If so on which streams and how do they work?

Just wondering if truly useful for fishing streamers on Jersey streams.

Re: I Need Some New Waders

I was impressed with the high end Chota waders I saw at the show in Edison, and they won't break the bank. The Hodgeman H4 and H5 waders were also nice with reasonable prices, especially if you shop online and know the size you need. The new Orvis lightweight waders were also nice, higher price but ...

Saw LBS and Beatis on the Musky yesterday. The warm temps got them popping for a few days anyway.
Fishing or surveying? Haven't been to Musky or any of the "larger" NJ streams since the rains blew them out. If fishing any luck?

I was on a small WTS stream Sunday. Saw midges and nothing else in the air.

Re: Next on your purchase list

Most likely waders. My current set is still fine, but not sure will last the season. I do need a packable lightweight wading jacket. I like the one offered by LLBean but they don't have my size in stock anywhere. I have time, if it doesn't come into stock i'll probably get the Simms or Patagonia. Wh...

Re: Edison Fly Fishing Show this weekend

The show blew its chance to fix the first year's layout which EVERYONE complained about last year (and now again this year). The stupid casting pond needs to be jammed up against the wall and out in the middle of the flow of foot traffic. Just like it was in Somerset They set everything up the exac...

Re: Edison Fly Fishing Show this weekend

I was there Friday as the doors opened, hate the weekend crowd. Always a good show, lots to see and buy, which I did (buy) little of, only stocking up on the few essentials. I primarily use Tenkara gear so there is little I need, and I did adopt the minimalist approach of Tenkara. That being said I ...

Re: BFB - No kill Zone trip 11/20

Cappy - Cant say for sure it was.. If it was only 6", it was a wild brookie or brown. State doesn't stock anywhere near that small a size of rainbow. Unless it was one of the hatchery's famous "sunbows" By that, I mean some of the genetic mutants that survive to be stocked that look more like...

Re: BFB - No kill Zone trip 11/20

Would love to give you guys a good report.......only thing I saw was a 6" dead trout and wanted to pull it from the river to look for the transmitter. Couldn't get to it enough and was not risking slipping into the cold water. Second, saw a sign that labeled the area a "No Black Bear Hunting Area" ...
