Re: It's warm.

Just did a little looking. The Musky is 56% below average flows right now. Temp data is not on-line, but that doesn't seem too promising...A great winter turned into a crappy late spring.

Re: It's warm.

Most streams seem better off than the SBR. I fished it last Thursday and was stunned how low it was compared to the Musky and Rockaway, both of which I fished a few days prior. All the residential construction in that watershed must have really dewatered the river. I'll check out the Musky if I hav...

Screenshot_20210519-222056.png SBR in High Bridge hit 69 today...flows are super low....my trout fishing is done until it rains..on another note. I stood on a bridge a few days ago and watched 100 at least stockies sitting in a pool under the bridge, they were all in a sungle school...a fellow was ...

Re: Wet Wading Season Opener

My favorite Western river who's name will go unmentioned flows from a very deep reservoir located at elevation. Flows are steady, but water temps are 44F in the morning, climbing to 46F by end of the day. This river is located in what I would call high desert plateau, and daytime air temps on a coo...

Re: Wet Wading Season Opener

I prefer to wet wade from May onward. The one exception is if I am going to be wading waste deep or more for extended periods in a tail water. Last fathers day I fished a tail water with temps in the low 50s-it was bizzare as the air temp got into the high 80s/low 90s and my face was sweating but m...

Re: Warmth Under Waders

I wear jeans mostly under my waders except in winter when jeans aren't warm enough. But with water temps in the 60s, I was wet wading in Virginia for work (wasn't fishing, just working in the river). If I'm fishing a tailwater that is colder than freestoners, then I may wear long johns under my jea...

I wear waders like I wear my Kilt..Free style!! :!:
Lol..does that impact the breathability in negative way or a positive way?
Well, I have to switch pant legs once in a while to keep it cool. Thats why I don't wear chest waders, just pants waders...😎

Re: Best wading boots

Your boots look fine, Whaddya' need new ones for. I wear Korker redsides. The front of the boot, where the rubber meets the material separates from the upper quickly....after a year or less, I shoot gorilla glue in there and get a few years out of them before they disintegrate. The soles seem to sta...

Re: Net Rig

Thank you all for the input. I am going with a chest pack that will have a proper D-ring in the back. I already have a retractor for the net that's been collecting dust for about a year at least. With another, smaller retractor in front, for clippers and knot-tool--should be a sweet set-up. No more...

just wet wade in tennis shoes-no need for fancy wading boots.
Too cold in early spring for me....I have Korkers redsides and I glued the soles back on with Gorilla glue...Git another year at least out of 'em doing that.
