Re: New member, saying hello

Saxton falls ? Is the Warren Glen Dam the one by the graphite mill? The Cahills hatch very well above there and it is fun to cast flies from the bridge and watch...careful of the powerlines on your back cast. :D The now removed Hughesville Mill dam was a couple hundred yards below the 519 bridge ov...

Re: New member, saying hello

I can only image the cubic tonnage sediment that the dam has held back all these years. The next 1 would be the dam in bloomsbury. this would free up the musky as we know it. the breached dam behind wells fargo & the 1 by the graveyard are just eyesores of a bygone era The US Army Corps of Engineer...

There is not much that you cant catch with the old night crawler! They were working great for the large brook trout in that Vermont pond when cut in little sections on a tiny jig. I catch white perch on them. Any bass and pan fish species and catfish too. Were you dead sticking it or were you jiggi...

That's a beautiful smallie! dont have perspective to tell how big it is, but it looks pretty big! What did it eat?
It was big, probably 18 inches, it ate a night crawler, also caught a large carp that had been run over by a boat, it's back was broken and healed, didn't fight very well? ;)

Re: Any New Toys Purchased or Waiting on Delivery?

With a recession just now arriving and the recent bad economic news we hear each and every day, I'm hoarding my money and not spending it right now. I think we will wind up being worse off than in the late 70s under the Carter Administration. This isn't going to be over in a month or even 10 months...

Nuff said. I’ve invested in a stream thermometer and will use it diligently in the future. Thanks for all the good info.

Re: Musconetcong TCA - Penwell

I did not use a thermometer, but by feel, I would say 70 degrees Did you kill and eat the one you caught? Cause at 70+ degrees of water temp, you very likely killed it. I fish Spruce Run in the evenings. Pulled in 2 smallmouth, one quite large, 3 perch, 1 channel cat, and 1 large carp that looked l...

I should use one at 52, but I haven't taken a spill yet,and until I do, close calls don't count. I fell once, but on dry land. Broke my rod and bent my reel. I am more careful now. :?
