Re: Technical question ? Picture for attention only
My guess is it would legally depend on where you are standing when you land the fish. In the KLG, let it go. General reg water, keep it if you want. Same would apply to walking through the KLG with a fish on a stringer you caught in general water, a CO would still argue that you cannot prove you did...

Smallies are always a nice surprise! Although you usually think you have a trophy trout until you realize its just an 8" smallie, they fight so hard!

I just put the order in for a nice little 4wt from Ronjoe_panella wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 11:54 amI have to try and make it to one of these this year. I just had a couple rods delivered that were ordered over 4 years ago. Dennis Menscer actually has some rods i am interested in as he builds some true medium action rods.

BooFest 2019
Another year, another BooFest. My second time around this year means I wasnt a rookie and didnt have to get duct taped to chair! More good people, awesome rods and even better food. There was plenty of boo, fish, pig and beer to go around. I got to meet the famous Dennis Menscer and cast some of his...

Re: Best fly line for striped bass
Well I dont fish saltwater so Im no real help but I would suggest looking at Rio lines. They have specialty lines for just about everything! Their steelhead and nymph specialty lines are fantastic. I have switched all my other lines to them as well. When Rusty Spinner gets back from his drinking wee...

Re: leaders - buy or diy
For nymphing I make my own as it's just a few different diameter monos and some tippet rings for each replacement. For dry flies I use a tapered leader that I buy. So I'm 50/50.

Finally used my 2019 License
As the owner of a fishing forum I should get my ass out there and fish more often but I haven't been out as much as I should. I finally went out and got my first trout of 2019, a nice wild brown from a really small stream that's rather local to me now. In October we moved closer to trout country so ...

Re: Who Wears A Vest?
I have a vest and wear it occasionally. I have a fanny pack as well, or a small backpack, which I use more. I just load it up with what I will be using that day. The vest hangs in the closet and hold most of fly boxes, that's really its main use. Also, I added a poll for you. Did you see the option ...
