Raritan river 3/15-16/20
The bug hatch was insane at Duke Island Park on the Raritan river. Heard they were stocking already, maybe that's what these are, fun nonetheless.

Re: Public Meeting on Trout Stocking Program February 29
To answer Johnw questions on returning Brook Trout. Here a few photos of Brook Trout caught from the Raritan river (save the mishandling comments please) when the State was stocking Brook Trout upriver. These trout were caught near the fish ladder in Bound Brook, not far from the tideline in New Bru...

Re: South Holston/Tuckasegee Rivers
Perspective, I floated the ENTIRE South Holston in one day, 7 hours. I made 12 trips to the UDR area before I did the same float twice, all 8 hr trips. Best time of year Nov and Dec when the large trout come up to spawn. Public access is nil. When they stop generating power you can walk across the r...

Re: South Holston/Tuckasegee Rivers
Did a trip, areas were off limits when we floated, (the rocky bottoms sections for spawning), looked down and saw trout all over the place. 7 different types of bottoms, the lower section was garbage and tires in the river and on the bottom, should have gotten of photo of the cliff behind one reside...

Re: nj brookies... ever again?
When will Fish and Wildlife restore stocking of Brown (and/or Brook) Trout? This may be the most frequently asked question in recent years. Brown trout will be reintroduced to the Pequest Hatchery once the raceways are covered. Although there are select strains of brown trout that are resistant to f...
