Garden State Trout

Any attempt a stocked stream this morning? If so how was the flow, and were there any fish?
Thinking most of the stockies wound up in the Delaware or Passaic rivers.

It's only the first stocking, will have to see what the weather is like for the remainder. If it were the Covid stocking procedure I would agree.

I got two a little smaller then yours out of that same spot last week.

I typically go out to a local P&T stream late afternoon if not raining, and keep a few for the freezer. They don't make it through the warmer/hot months in this stream, so I have no concerns with keeping a few.

Looks like fun, would like to give it a try. I have a 5 weight switch rod that would be perfect with fast sink poly-leader.
Just don't know where a decent area is up north that is fairly close to the road/parking and safe to wade out.

Typically two, however like Rusty will use three depending on conditions and size/depth of water.

Covid stocking was fine, however preseason C&R should be artificial or fly, single barbless hook, and that includes lures for spin fishermen.

Now I can't fish for two weeks in the early spring...I kind of enjoyed being able to fish the stocked waters for C&R. I guess it's back to harassing wild fish during that period...

No kill stretches of stocked streams are open year round, and they hold wild trout...Just saying.

I'm going to pass this year. Don't need anything, and I never found any true bargains there either over the years. From what I saw in the 2022 vendors list, is many of the manufacturers will not be attending. I assume they are relying on their retailers to represent their products. With regard to th...
