Re: Stocking

Stocked Fish are gross , wild fish are to valuable to catch just once ..... But on the Rahway River as you know we get a plethora of trouts , which will be harvested at our leisure as we bask in the glow of the Union County waste Incinerator .... The Good living just keeps on rolling in Union County...

Re: Raritan river 3/9/19:

Stop picking on Rahway , we did give you the opening scene of Oceans 11 & 12 . Also we gave you Lock Up with Stallone .... That alone should get us 18, 000 Trout . Not to mention Carl Sagan .

I don't know how that movie won a Oscar , seems to me that all that plastic isn't historically accurate in the the 1960's southern United States .

Re: stuck in a rut

Confidence is key , but the bottom line is you got to go where the fish are , you always increase your chances when you go some where you know the population of trout is high. Yes that sounds simple , but it might be a factor .

Re: POLY LEADERS

WHEN TO USE A SINKING POLYLEADER VS. A SINK-TIP Although polyleaders come in sinking densities, as noted they don’t have as much mass as a level “T” sink-tip (for example: T-10). Consequently, they work great for small to medium size flies that are un-weighted or lightly weighted. That being said, t...

Re: Edison Fly Fishing Show this weekend

That said I'm glad it's in my backyard #1 and number #2 if you have any really minutia type questions that's a great place to go to get them answered by manufacturers, but also a great place to mine info about certain ri...

Re: Winter nymphing advice

Aside from water depth and speed I would ask what time where you there? . Remember it's a gorge , this time of year it's probably only getting 5 hours of good sunlight a day to warm things up a bit . A little sunlight goes a long way as far as getting the bugs moving and in turn getting the fish mov...
