Garden State Trout

Stocked Fish are gross , wild fish are to valuable to catch just once ..... But on the Rahway River as you know we get a plethora of trouts , which will be harvested at our leisure as we bask in the glow of the Union County waste Incinerator .... The Good living just keeps on rolling in Union County...

Stop picking on Rahway , we did give you the opening scene of Oceans 11 & 12 . Also we gave you Lock Up with Stallone .... That alone should get us 18, 000 Trout . Not to mention Carl Sagan .

Hey , last year some of those fish actually held over in the Rahway ... As far as poachers I'm sure some of that goes on , but where dosent it ?

I don't know how that movie won a Oscar , seems to me that all that plastic isn't historically accurate in the the 1960's southern United States .

Confidence is key , but the bottom line is you got to go where the fish are , you always increase your chances when you go some where you know the population of trout is high. Yes that sounds simple , but it might be a factor .

Aside from water depth and speed I would ask what time where you there? . Remember it's a gorge , this time of year it's probably only getting 5 hours of good sunlight a day to warm things up a bit . A little sunlight goes a long way as far as getting the bugs moving and in turn getting the fish mov...

I don't fish it that much anymore , but to be fair I think even when it was Fly-fishing only it was poached pretty hard .

Dave was a great guy , unfortunately I have never seen a river suffer so much over the last 25yrs I just hope one day I can say it was the best come back story I ever saw a river have .
