Got out today and found streams in perfect shape. Wild browns aplenty and water temps actually not that bad. Nothing big but solid numbers of 8-11" fish.

The Paulina Dam just above Blairstown is also set to be removed. The only remaining dam will be Paulinskill Lake Dam. That's not going anywhere - too many private residences. There are numerous smaller dams on tribs but I'm not counting those including one on Pond Brook in Middleville which creates ...

That erosion due to the hemlocks coming down does look a bit worrisome though. Who would be responsible for any projects to stabilize those banks? Are there any disease resistant hemlocks or other native species that could be planted? Not sure what can be done. The sunlight gaps are already filling...
