Re: South Branch
I can't answer the question about what they stocked, although i don't think this is the time of year they stock them that small. I can say the SBR has stream bred rainbows come from tribs and almost definately from in stream spawning. There just seem to be too many of them now to only be coming from...

Re: Lamington River Pottersville-Bedminster
Scout some areas during a hatch. Might be easier to see what is in it. Probably the best way to target trout if there are any. Sulphurs will be here soon.

Re: Penn's Creek questions and tips.
Hello, It’s funny but Eastern Fly Fishing magazine has a great article about Penns Creek. I just got it in the mail today. I like this magazine because it’s about eastern fishing and I think it’s better then the Fly Fisherman’s magazine. The article gives the fly hatches and access points.along the...

Re: Penn's Creek questions and tips.
I like the area around Weikert. **snip** I never thought it was all that difficult to fish, but like most streams with a high bright sun, it is going to be tough. Cool deal, Joe. From what I've read, most folks like the Weikert area more than Coburn. It may be tough, but the rewards there look awes...

Re: Penn's Creek questions and tips.
I like the area around Weikert. I was supposed to be up this last weekend but had some work things keep me home. My friends were up there, water was high and it was tough. It is a bug factory. Tips, match the hatch and dont blind cast dries, fish to rising fish. They are not as hard to catch as say ...

I hope we can all do our best and keep the site active. I know the old one lost a lot of activity at the end. I always thought this site was really positive towards NJ trout fishing as well as conversation.

Re: Hot Spring 2018 Flies
Admitidly spring flies, particularly dry flies are not my strong point. So what are the hot flies everyone likes to tie for the spring season that should see some action? I still nymph early season with your standard pheasant tail and hares ear flies but I know many others will get fish on the line...

Re: Introductions!
I don't have a very creative handle so you all have always known my name. I am 41 and have a 4 and 1 year old so my fishing has declined quite a bit in recent years. I also manage the biggest internet peering facility in NJ so i work alot as well. I am moving to Smoke Rise in Kinnelon on May 16 so i...
