I was young once too, but it is painful to see. Maybe let a few of the bigger ones go...
When I throw them back I am always thinking they'll be there for a kid or myself to catch another day, but I know that chances are they'll be toast from one way or another.

Folks, Definite newbie here, so I sincerely apologize if this is an amateur question. The place I'll be fishing this upcoming weekend is fishing very well with #12 October caddis. It probably screws up other stuff, but some of the places I fish in Maryland are tailwater of deep water releases from dams. In my experience, the rivers never get above 62 degrees and the trout fishing puts ours to shame.

There is a bayside pier behind Morrison's Marina in Beach Haven. You can probably entertain yourself putzing around for snapper blues.

Thanks lightenup. My spots on the SBR hold solid numbers of trout so i try to avoid catching them. Any size fly or streamer that is a good rule of thumb for being too big for trout to hit?

The future temps are surely to put most of the rivers in the trout danger zone. With that said, I am looking to try to fish for smallmouth with the fly rod. Does anybody know of any parking areas along the Delaware in hunterdon county that can provide me with wading opportunities for smallies?
