I don't even know what sealed disc drag is, the reel is the only one I've ever used and its an Orvis Clearwater reel that I bought 25 years ago when I was in high school. Straight up miracle I was able to land this one without it. Time to upgrade man. You're getting into some whoppers now... Pretty...

Re: Winter Stockings

I think the question now is was the KLG stocked privately only or did the Division also stock it? The division stocked the upstrea...

I'll take a picture next time I see a big one. Please, gentlemen. Can we not drift from the purpose of this post which was to justify the use of...

Point being if you like stockings , all kinds of stockings , i don't judge , buy some stockings from Shannon's , cause I remember winters when there where no stockings , and they were cold ... PS I see on other boards people enjoying the stockings , I hope they appreciate where they came from .... ...

Spend the money. Buy a Bauer..you will never need to buy another reel ever.
What if you misplace it, and your significant other can't find it for you.

Especially in winter conditions, it seems that anything you can do to speed-up getting into the water and at-it fishing is a good thing. Yeah, I've seen...

Can anyone recommend a place online to order flies? And any suggestions on what ones to use this time of year?
If you can't make it to your local flyshop order from Blue Ribbon Flies. Materials are top notch. So are the flies.
