Cooler temps

I may be able to fish Sunday or Monday. Are there any fish left alive in the Califon area of the SBR? Haven't been out since early June. It was a brutal summer. Temps look good for the next week though. Good times!!!

Re: CBS video on fly fishing's growing popularity during Q-tine

So when you leave this "dirty river state" to fish the West Branch please be advised that Deposit NY on the banks of the West branch was founded by the logging industry which is not exactly environmentally friendly. I referring to chemicals when I state dirty ;) . The Musky in the past was li...

Re: Water Temps

At least where I live, next week's temps look like they're inching back up into the 87-88 range during the day. But some of these cool mornings with low dew points (50s) have been delightful. I also looked at NJ's drought map which says the state is in a green "normal' range. Do normal water levels...

Re: Water Temps

Looking at the long term forecast and daytime highs are dropping this week and nighttime temps to hit 60s and even down to upper 50s later this week into next. That seems to be the new norm - Summer starts by June 1 but ends or starts to by mid August. We still need rain, though.... SBR got down to...

And up over 70 already...it happens quickly. Warms quicker than it cools it seems.
You will see this concept applies to many natural things, people included.
I see you haven't met my wife.
Lol.that rule applies to all wives my friend.

Re: Catfishing from the Bank

I just read all this, I have catfshed spruce run 25 years ago and caught nothing but a half dozen of the biggest snappping turtles I have seen. As far as reproduction, when they drained Verona pond when I was a kid we found one about an inch long in a puddle and my buddy had it for years in his fis...

Just checked the USGS site for the SBR and there is a temperature graph! Is this new?
Yes I saw it too. Look how thw temp fell as the levels rose. The rain helped last night. Also I bet the sun going down had something to do with it. :)
