Re: Off the beach

When I was a LOT younger used to do the canyons every other weekend on a coworkers 30' Bertram, not any more though. Have been down to Oregon Inlet & Hatteras several times, much shorter ride and much larger boats :D I've been seeing some projections of 20 footers as it gets closer, all a guess at t...

Be careful if wading, really bad rip tides the past week with the offshore storms with another on the way. Three deaths with one still missing from the weekend.

Went on the Sea Tiger II yesterday morn for a1/2 day trip with the wife and a friend, all told, I had 1 short and 2 Robins, the wife got the skunk and my buddy had 3 shorts...it is slow picking, I believe only 3 keepers on the boat....Nice boat, nice people, I wish the fishing was better. Checked a...

Re: Fluke

They have been doing well off the beach in IBSP, mostly shorts, but the big guys are finally making a showing heading out to the deep, a bit late this year.

North East flooding.

Anyone planning to head to the north country; serious flooding, more expected this weekend that may also affect ME. Long Lake in the ADK's has declared an emergency, roads closed, no one allowed to travel. Really bad in VT, not so much in NH. https://www.wcvb.com/article/flash-flooding-heavy-rain-ve...

Found this link to a study that mentions it, a good read. Might contact Trump National Golf Course which owns the property it runs through.

Certainly took them long enough and it is still some time before it will be done, but at least the decisions have been made. They did it for the Boquet with success. :D By spring 2017, for the first time in human memory, officials found wild baby salmon swimming in the Boquet. The 85 babies, known a...

Re: Stuck ferrule

Finally, unstuck. Hair dryer on hot for about 5 minutes, into the freezer for 2 hours, behind the knee's pull and just when I was going to quit it popped.

rereading that, it sounds kind of X-Rated'ish
