Rubber/plastic shads and surface poppers or swimmers. Thats about all you need unless sand eels are around then its metal lures with tails.

Re: Fall Stripers
It truly is amazing. Ive been doing this for many years and have never seen anything like it. On Sunday there were probably 100 boats off Sea Bright and more ip on Raritan Bay. The point Pleasant and Belmar party boats were there and some boats as fsr away as LBI.

Re: Well the time has come
I will be 86 in a few days and only found a need for a wading staff when I reached 80. Feel very fortunate to still be here and able to continue fishing and playing golf and running a small gardening business.

If anyone wants to know anything and everything about Pa streams and trout fishing get a copy of Trout Streams of Pennsylvania by Dwight Landis. It describes all Pa streams complete with maps, directions and parking areas etc.

Re: Pennsylvannia opener
The Lehigh River is comparable in size to the West Branch and is up and coming in terms of improved fishing for both trout and smallmouths. The Little Lehigh has declined dramatically in the past 2 decades to the point that many from NJ no longer bother. Opening day on the Little Lehigh is something...

Re: Monmouth county spot burners needed

There are a couple of ponds if that interests you. Holmdel Park, Spring Lake and Mohawk in Red BAnk. Wouldnt reco...
