Interesting, how did the auger/cordless drill combo work for you on 6"+ of ice. The auger cordless drill combo is a game changer its great. It worked fantastic I would say both times we used it we had between 8 to 10 inches of ice on the lakes and 1 battery was probably good for close to 20 holes.

Yeah, I swing wets much more often than I fish nymphs, but in both cases, it's always two flies. In part, that's because I now live in Maryland which limits the number of flies you can use to two, but I do the same when I'm fishing in NJ or PA, because I'm used to the teams. Been watching alot of you tube fishing videos and seeing different fishing methods used nymphing for Trout and wondering what everyone here does

Treble hooks are not the issue! Never had a fish hooked in any spot besides the mouth when using terrible hooks it wont hurt a fish

Deep hooked fish on bait is the issue.

Looking at closer the red is stunning in the fish and the fins are in perfect shape. Probably a long term hold over fish

I would definitely agree with this statement. Further, it was my experience that the majority of the fish that moved away from the stocking areas seemed to be the larger of the average stocky size mix. Anyone else notice this where you fished?
