Re: Wild Brook trout
If this is the stream I think, those trout were reestablished once I thought with a different strain. I could be wrong but I thought that is what I read.

Good temps low water
Went and fished the pequannock last night for an hour. Temps were 66 but the water was low. Picked up a stockie and a wild brown. I have seen more wild browns this year in my limited fishing which is a good thing. Maybe if we get a little rain the next day or two Thursday will be good. Anyone get ou...

Re: Poe Paddie pointers
It is a fun place to fish. Find out what is hatching at one of the shops. Jonas and Bruce are both nice guys. It is pretty straight forward except you have to target fish you see rise. It is really not river you blind cast drys in. It is not necessarily easy but I always thought Penns was not a hard...

Re: West Canada Creek
I am looking at somewhere to go around august 1 that will not limit me to only fishing an hour in the morning and an hour at night. I am going to have two nights to stay and was wondering since this is a tailwater are there no temp problems in the summer. Is the stream straight forward when it comes...

It is going to be 95 sat. I'm can't believe it may be an issue in may, but what do we think water temps will be.

Re: Trolling other Forums
Hi, I was checked once on Flatbrook. I lived in Pa. at the time but worked in Sparta,NJ so I would cross Flatbrook going to and coming home. I bought a NJ license and had it pinned to my back. I was fly fishing and really concentrating on my fishing when a person said how are you doing? Well let me...

Re: Trolling other Forums
You know in all my life i have never been checked on a trout stream. I have been checked at Diamond Mill pond in Millburn, i have had my cooler checked twice by a female range on the Delaware, i have had my license checked by rangers in a boat with binoculars (I know because my buddy left his licens...

Re: Trolling other Forums
I have no problem if it's legal. The vast majority of trout stocked wouldn't make it through the summer anyway. What always bothers me is we don't take 10% of the water and really work on the fishery,. C and r, stream rehab, trying to improve chances of reproduction, stocking fingerlings. I remember...

I will mark it down. I plan to be there. I will bring some rods along as well. Tom will be nymphing, so he will be fine with graphite.

Re: Unnamed Brookie WTS
If you guys are ever looking for an inexpensive custom build of high quality, Munsey Wheby on the old clarks is fabulous builder who is successful in his career and i assume does it because he enjoys it. He would be a great person to have a rod built by. He hollow builds and has built a spliced join...

These responses are making me think back to the 'Boofests from years ago. Drossi, Rollcast, and whoever else out there with a bamboo rod--let me know if you want to hit a stream together. If you guys ever want to get together i have a long list of rods you can cast. Bob Taylors, Simroes, James Reid...

Re: Hoffman's Crossing Bridge
This property is only valued at $10,400 and annual taxes a measly $247/year. Shouldn't be too hard to purchase and allow public access. Is it for sale. :D Does property ever sell for it's assessed value? It always sells higher, no? It depends when it was assessed. There are towns that are not asses...
