Re: Took a walk
Off the beaten path? Hence title of took a walk? Bow looks like a fall holdover. The path is beaten well, people are just lazy, was all by myself on a beautiful day in a very popular stretch of river....Walked past all of the over fished and full spots on my way. I am happy people are lazy for once...

Re: Took a walk
Looks like a productive walk! That big bow looks pretty clean/full finned-holdover or club fish? No club fishing for me. I'm a cheap bastard and want to retire one day so I save my money. I walked to where most people won't anymore. I think it was a holdover fish, fought very well for a big bow in ...

Re: Is this the new fly that everyone is raving about ?
If anyone knows where Five Maples is on the lower Musky, then you would want one of these flies for that stretch of river. I always find (and remove) empty cans of corn. It's like a religion in that spot for reasons I don't know. Maybe it's just one angler leaving his empty corn can every time, but...

Re: Is this the new fly that everyone is raving about ?
What ever happened to "fly" fishing"? We are supposed to be representing aquatic insects in all stages of life, not a canned corn kernel, I mean, I am even against egg flies and squirmy worms. Fur and Feathers only, maybe some carpet material....Ya'll should go back to powerbait and worms... :D :D ...

I'll go if my wife lets me. usually this wouldn't be an issue but there are extenuating circumstances right now. I will bring 3 boo rods if I can make it. No one is allowed to touch or even look at them...

These responses are making me think back to the 'Boofests from years ago. Drossi, Rollcast, and whoever else out there with a bamboo rod--let me know if you want to hit a stream together. Let's do it. I'm in Glen Gardner, so most trout streams are near me. I'm in Glen Gardner as well, second street...

Re: Hoffman's Crossing Bridge
Is it for sale. :D Does property ever sell for it's assessed value? It always sells higher, no? It depends when it was assessed. There are towns that are not assessed for 30 years and they just change the rate. Some towns assess every year and it is close. That makes sense. I have lived in the same...

Re: Hoffman's Crossing Bridge
If people are worried about lawsuits, I really can't blame them for preventing parking. Now the public has lost the access from the north side road down to the handicap pool parking area and Hoffman's. There are what room for 5 cars at the northern parking area? This is touted by the state as one o...
