Carp are an amazing fish to catch that are overlooked all the time! And yes, they love berries, especially mulberry.

BooFest 2018
No its not about ghosts or Halloween but rather bamboo fly rods! A friend hosts BoofFest each year at his cabin in the Catskills with a stocked spring fed trout pond. I finally made it up this year and had a blast! Boo, beer and BBQ! I have never spent much time casting bamboo but now that I have I ...

Re: Spruce Run Creek dam removal for native brook trout
This thread is gold..... I get that some people are upset that a pond is gone but its really hard to see anything wrong with restoring something back to the way it should be. We have changed enough natural places as it is already and bringing one back, especially one with the potential to hold wild ...

Was out in the Poconos over the MD weekend and got a few at night. The big ones still seem to be lazy, just caught a bunch around 12".

Re: Stocking Truck
Sunnies are probably my second favorite fish on the fly! No doubt! I fished Round Valley a few years ago from my kayak and caught some the size of dinner plates. They pulled me around, left a small wake if I remember  Should have taken them home for the dinner plate! They are some of the best ...
