And in that case, don't forget your chainmail mesh waders!

I believe it was onemorecast that suggested fletch-dry for arrows. I bought some when I saw it and have been using it ever since. Nothing better for CDC.

10.5" A nj trophy brookie. Lol
Maybe, just maybe if you pinch the tail you can call that 10.5 inches, but it is a very nice Brookie regardless.

Re: Peapack Brook 3/9/2020

I wonder what makes them "official" I figure some of it has to do with public access. Although some of the WTS listed are hardly accessible. Maybe another part is quality, and also secrecy  WTS designation has a love/hate following. If a stream is designated a WTS, it may draw unwanted atten...

Such an improvement in handling of trout, how far BT Jr. has come from the master of yesteryear.

It is the same with Vermont, as long as you stay within 18 1/2 feet from the high water mark you are good.

Re: Access question

Technically the property underneath the water is still their property. If you float thru on a vessel without anchoring. You are not trespassing. I've always found this to be an interesting topic. I heard the law changes depending on what part of the country you're in (?). I remember reading years a...

Re: Dry Fly Fishing 3_14_2020

That is a wild browns. It's small enough to be one and has some decent parrs/color plus good-looking fins. It also swam for shelter under some river detritus once hooked; I wonder what that says about its survival instincts vs those of a stocked fish? Survival instincts over stocked fish? More like...

Re: Peapack Brook 3/9/2020

Serious question, if there are no holdover browns, how did a wild brown appear in a river. It must have parents somewhere. Browns do reproduce in our streams and previously stocked Browns from years past are the origin of the current "wild Browns". What Rusty meant was that currently caught Browns ...

100% wild browns. We have no state holdover browns still alive at this point.

Re: Public Meeting on Trout Stocking Program February 29

Good question, CT. I'm not an expert, but I'd think it impossible to know the exact osteichthyes inventory of an entire aquatic ecosystem so perhaps it's possible to have sea runs in the Delaware. Absolutely true, it is impossibly for anyone to say with certainty what does not exists. It is foolhar...

Re: Dry fly fishing

Hello, The worst thing is on your back cast you realize that darn tree moved to catch your fly. The trout are bouncing all over the place and your fly is in a tree 10 feet up. What to do, pull until the tippet breaks and then by the time you get your line back minus a good portion of your tippet th...
