[/u] That depends on the conditions..if there is a hatch going on and fish are on the bugs, not even power bait will...

Re: WTS 1/30
That looks like the WTS I fish mostly. It also has had a huge drop off in numbers over the past few years. I haven't seen any real rebound at all yet, but I don't fish there as much as there are few trout. One guy who lives upstream told me they are rebounding a bit , but we will see. Is the "guy w...

Re: Tiger Trout
I doubt it because of it's size...it did have full fins and fought well...but I know a bunch of these were stocked by Shannon's last year..I was in the KLG. The fish was approx 17 inches...maybe 16. You can see the net markings and he was bent a bit.

Re: Who Uses a Net?
I use net on big rivers. This reminds me does anyone have a recommendation for a small wts net. Easy to carry. I had a small Brodin net, I bought it at Shannon's a while back, it was a great small net, but got broken iin my luggage on a Montana trip...it was too small for some of the Montana fish, ...

Re: Nice chainsider....
I've caught small pickerel in Batsto creek years ago, but I bet there are bigger ones near the reservoir, or in deeper pools on the creek. I fished there in 1981.

Is this upstream or down stream from Fiddler's Elbow? I have an invite to fish there this weekend and wonder of it will be all silty. Yes, I am going with a blueblood;)

Re: Musky report 10/14
I was on the middle Musky yesterday, saw plenty of fish stuck to the bottom and not moving, it was early afternoon. There were a few tan caddis flying around, but nothing hatching, except leaves, and nothing rising, water is extremely low...I won;t be returning until there is some rain.

Re: Ok I jinxed it the weather is gross
Won't be 95° F where I'll be next week ....🥶 Montana? If there's a blizzard approaching it must be that someone from NJ is going to Montana Yes, memories of the last time I was there in September...we had to leave the rainbow valley early as 20 inches were coming and they don't plow the road we wer...
