Re: Shannon's sale on items over $100
People seem to downplay or not talk about the side effects/risks of chemo. It actually did my dad in last year, this week-it scrambled his brain, messed with his kidneys and then dampened his immune system so that he went into sceptic shock and died, all in a matter of about 10 days. He was 76 so no...

Re: Good temps low water
I live in the DC area and hope this summer continues like spring with lower than average temps. We have record cold temps on some mornings in April, May, and June which I dont mind at all as average low temps are in the low 70s and record low means mid 50s which is perfect for me. I went for a walk ...

Praying that Jim pulls throw. Cancer sucks and Chemo can be almost as bad.

Re: Good temps low water
It's fairly cool and it looks like some rain is moving north to south in the western half of the state-not sure if it will help much, but couldn't hurt.

Re: White Perch
We found some brackish mudflats in the Meadlowlands that had some real decent white perch today-all were 9-12 inches and pushing a pound-they were hitting Mepps number two silver spinners hard and pulling like a freight train. Great species! The wind was nuts out there though.

Re: Gas prices $$$$$$$
Thanks for the 'hypermiling' tips. I had never heard the term but I remember coasting a lot down hills when in high school-gas was like a dollar a gallon back then, but I didnt have much money. Anyway, lots of great tips in that link on how to increase fuel efficiency.

Re: Gas prices $$$$$$$
Well its good to see the improvement in fuel efficiency over the years on the CRV and many cars-I definitely get way over 30mph on the highway and just under 30 on city streets

Re: Gas prices $$$$$$$
I am not personally looking to change vehicles either-I got a 2017 Honda CRV with low mileage in 2019-I get decent fuel economy-31-35 mpg on the highway so it is not terrible-when I fill up, I usually can drive over 400 miles. Its a great car for fishing/skiing as I get a combination of decent fuel ...

Re: Gas prices $$$$$$$
Well, if it gets too expensive driving up there, there is always smallie fishing closer to home (On the Big D or elsewhere).

Re: White Perch
Awesome! I just saw Nick H's 30 minute video on white perch fishing in the Mullica-people even used to ice fish that cove you mentioned for white perch in cold winters. Such a cool fishery in south Jersey! those rivers/estuaries look so remote. Again, white perch fishing is an underrated fishing pur...

These guys were catching some bigger white perch in south jersey and filleting them-I think you loose a lot of meat that way, but if you don't want to contend with bones and you are good with a filet knife, then have at it.

Re: White Perch
Correct-I just gutted and scaled them with a fork. I left on the skin, tails and most fins as they crunch up nicely when you fry them up. There is certainly a more elegant way of doing things, but I don't have a very good filet knife nor the patience to use it on relatively small fish (the knife in ...
