Re: Wader recomendations
Cabellas neoprene waders. So far, indestructible. I have all my old, holely waders for when its warm, but also got tired of patching and replacing them. I fish a ton and a single pricker can ruin a 200 dollar pair of the non neoprene type. Too many pricker bushes and other thorny plants to keep up w...

Re: Ok it's cool enough , we can officially talk about trout again
Fish are there in the Musky, but skiddish. Watched a slow-mo take of my iso emerger a few evenings ago. Tonight may be iffy, but I'm going out in 15 mins.

Re: Trout to Smallmouth transition
Still trout in the musky above point mountain; keep going up river and hit the lakes around hackettstown. Clinton/ below 78 is good on the Sbr. The posted spots in the digest is a good place to start or Google maps satellite mode works for me too.

Re: Summer Time Fishing
Lots of fish in the lakes around the musky and pequest areas. I tie up fishy looking, heavy flies and bring the kayak. Also, you can wade the Delaware around Milford and Frenchtown. I get up early and am usually done between 7and 10. PM me if you want fo check some lakes around hackettstown out.

Re: HEAT
I just drove by penwell. The parking lot is packed. I drove down and took two temps...76 in the sun, 72 in the shade. Just as i I was leaving, a neighbor from PA parked and looked ready to fish. I hope folks realize the TCA regs and are keeping the fish (one 15 inch fish in the TCA) for a 4th of Jul...

Nice fish! Are the lures blacked out in 2 of the 3? The 'ol Titties-on-a-peep-show-poster special?

Re: Algae bloom
Thanks, folks. Was out early and near the big D surprised the water wasn't more clear. It occurred to me that they may be drawing down the lake or something and sending algae and bodies down with it.

Re: HEAT
Anyone out there take any temps today? Depending on the timing of the massive hail and lightening, I may get out this evening.

Re: Pt. Mountain parking obstruction (old homestead below Penwell).
Someone got it. I got in this afternoon. Not much happening bug wise. If I'm to be super critical, the cut job still requires some maneuvering to get by.

Pt. Mountain parking obstruction (old homestead below Penwell).
Good day. My favorite pull-off is the one on the Musky - below Penwell bridge - that leads down to an old homestead. There are frequently trees and debris across the driveway and that was the case this morning. Does anyone know who to call? My chainsaw is busted at the moment. ON a brighter note, I ...

Re: Stream Conditions Today
I fished Pt. Mnt. this morning - 5:15- 6. It was off, but fish were rising and chasing wooly buggers (black). I was down at the lower end. Usually I park closer to Penwell but the turn-off parking lot (the old homestead one) is blocked by a fallen tree from the other night. Does anyone (Rusty) know ...
