Re: New member, saying hello
Welcome to GST, Kype! I drove down the entire Musky from Hackettstown to the boat launch at the Delaware River the other day, looking at some of my older work and visiting old clients. We have 3-4 new projects on that river in coming years and fishing will only continue to improve. private property...

Re: Any New Toys Purchased or Waiting on Delivery?
Found the reel I was looking for to match up with the rod. Wanted to keep the rig American made and Orvis. Got lucky and found a 4/5 Orvis Madison with a rare spare spool, and suede Orvis reel case at an amazing price. Christened the rod this morning with a decent brown in the first run. Water was ...

I rather just drive 2.5 hrs upstate NY to trout fish. Just go look @ the KLG. packed with Simms poster boys fly fishin...

Re: Musconetcong TCA - Penwell
Nuff said. I’ve invested in a stream thermometer and will use it diligently in the future. Thanks for all the good info. This is how we are learn from this site. I use a net more diligently now also. I just used to unhook & release while the fish was in the water. But they used to thrash somewhat. ...

Re: Musconetcong TCA - Penwell
I did not use a thermometer, but by feel, I would say 70 degrees trout fishing in 70* water is deadly for trout if your trying to C&R. I personally dont fish for trout in NJ in the summer months. But I do fish for trout in NYS @ Upper Delaware West Branch. The water in that area is about a constant...

Re: The cats meow of fishing net holders !!!!
I'll stick with my magnetic release. I just put the two magnets near each other over my shoulder and they find each other and lock together. Never have had an issue with them. I also tried the magnetic lanyard on 1 of the hooks on my wading belt. It was easier to hook up. But the net hung in awkwar...

Re: The cats meow of fishing net holders !!!!
Looks nice. I use a folding net when I need to net them, for the most part I use a release, don't even touch them. This is something new if you haven't seen it. https://livelylegz.com/collections/equipment-nets/products/netman both have the same concept . the 1 I use has a lever to release the net....
