I did not use a thermometer, but by feel, I would say 70 degrees trout fishing in 70* water is deadly for trout if your trying to C&R. I personally dont fish for trout in NJ in the summer months. Looks nice. I use a folding net when I need to net them, for the most part I use a release, don't even touch them.
