My buddy who wins lots of fishig tourneys has already been doing well to okay in the Lambertville area, and I know another buddy that has already been into some fish as high up as Poxono in the big D.

Not much decent water in there due to the upstream farmer farming way too close to the river and losing massive amounts of banks into the stream every year. I'm not familiar with the area, but is it a possibility that the fish swam up from a lake into the river? Perhaps that means it could have been stocked large and grown larger. Winter has zero effect on tick populations. They are all crawling around in the leaves beneath the snow, waiting for a hapless critter to walk past. Wish it weren't so, but winter does not kill ticks one bit.
