Re: Good temps low water
I live in the DC area and hope this summer continues like spring with lower than average temps. We have record cold temps on some mornings in April, May, and June which I dont mind at all as average low temps are in the low 70s and record low means mid 50s which is perfect for me. I went for a walk...

Re: Musconetcong TCA - Penwell
Regarding the parking on Penwell, is there no parking at all in the lot on the side of the road, or do the boulders just restrict the number of cars that can park there Go park by the Point Mountain side and walk up, great water and great parking. Besides, walking is healthy exercise and the wading...

Re: Good temps low water
Went and fished the pequannock last night for an hour. Temps were 66 but the water was low. Picked up a stockie and a wild brown. I have seen more wild browns this year in my limited fishing which is a good thing. Maybe if we get a little rain the next day or two Thursday will be good. Anyone get o...

Re: recommendation on a GREAT pair of wading boots
Korkers Resides. Lightwieght, replaceable soles, they should last 3 seasons. I have gotten 5 but it was sketchy the last one. I have recently bought some Redington boots that I am enjoying, this is season 1. Anyway, what's a tittle?

Re: preference on stained or crystal clear water ?
I like it crystal clear. I love sight fishing, and it is more challenging. I don't like making it easy, give the fish a chance, ya' know.

Re: Why No Temperature Closures?
We have two catch and release sections in NJ which means if the conditions (flow and temp) are not ideal for trout survival people should not be fishing. Yet, every summer, we see people fishing and catching/releasing trout destined for a raccoon dinner. Why doesn't NJ F&W close these sections of r...

Re: Hatches
Lots of bugs popping the last 2 nights. Sulphurs, March Browns, and caddis hatching. Stupid stockies hardly working the surface but the wet fly fishing has been spectacular (more than a few savage break offs too, need to reload the fly box). Lots of cookie cutter bows to the net, a few little small...

Im surprised they got away with it. That area is heavily patrolled by NJF&G :o . It really isn't patrolled well anymore....they are to busy to walk the road now. When they could drive the length they patrolled more. I haven't seen 1 division patroller for 2 years there. before that it wasn't very o...

Re: Trolling other Forums
Quick story: A couple of years ago a member here sent me to KLG and gave me some pointers. While I was there I saw a gentleman with his family fishing, they had a van parked nearby and when they caught a fish they immediately ran to the van to put them in there. Im surprised they got away with it. ...
