Re: Has anyone here fished the Little Lehigh in Allentown ?
I had one epic day there following a flood that allowed numerous trout to escape the hatchery. There is another artificial only stretch several miles upstream but with a few exceptions the stretch is quite shallow and uninteresting water. Rarely would you see anyone else fishing there. your correct...

Re: Has anyone here fished the Little Lehigh in Allentown ?
As tittle states. read that it was a great place to fish for wild browns & stocked trout in the Allentown area near the park ? Looking to go there maybe this week 15 to 20 years ago this was my favorite place to fish. As it degraded (there was a significant silting problem supposedly caused by cons...

Re: Has anyone here fished the Little Lehigh in Allentown ?
Until 6 years ago I lived about a mile from the artificial only stretch thst starts at the fish hstchery and ends at a covered bridge about a mile downstream. The river has a reputation of being a fantastic fishery years ago to one that has declined to the point that it is barely worth fishing any ...

Re: never caught a trout so low on the main stem of raritan
thats a few houses upstream from me. never met the guy though and been here 4 years now. I fished there yesterday. good guy imo. there was 2 guys that trespassed in. the owner was nice about it. told them it was private property. allowed them to fish that day if they C&R'ed. It was bait guys & they...

Re: never caught a trout so low on the main stem of raritan
Hard to say. Private landowners also stock the rivers and not just clubs. There are many on the two branches of the Raritan, the North and South. Add all the feeders to those two such as Rockaway Creek, the Lamington, etc. and there are far too many private stockings to count. A fish a stretch in t...

Re: never caught a trout so low on the main stem of raritan

I have a buddy that catches tons of trout in the Manville area and he knows the mainstem Raritan better than most. He mostly lands Pequest stockies, however.

Re: upper delaware west branch 5-14-23
Sorry to hear about the lack of action. Sometimes you just have to offer up time and effort to the fish gods for future rewards. Oh Im not complaining @ all. It was still a nice day to be out for sure. I was surprised that the fish wasnt cooperating on any of the fishing platforms. I was watching a...
