Re: McMichael Creek 4-6-23
Used to love fishing there back when I had a PA license! At one point I was able to maintain a NJ, NY and PA resident license until they all caught on  I used to have all 3 myself. But now I just keep a NJ & PA non resident. I keep the NJ because it cheap. & the PA 1 I can use up in the uppe...

Re: water levels

You got that right, even the feeder streams are hammering flow. This weeks stockies will be moved all over the place boding well...

Re: water levels
Saturday rain is a lock, I planned outdoor activities with the wife. I may also have to wash the cars to ensure the monsoon arrives. On a serious note, streams are at mid-May levels, we badly need some good storms to come through. A nice stalled low pressure event would be most welcome. Otherwise th...

Re: Spin fishing gear
can't help you on equipment, all my spinning gear is 30-40 years old. I do prefer ultra-light rods though and 4lb test (lower breaking point for the inevitable snags). For trout lures I prefer that panther martin shown above in the smaller size. As well as Mepps spinners size 0 or 1 and small Phoebe...

WTF is that abomination? Does it actually catch trout or only the stupid stockies?
Next time I'm out on the Broadhead I'll put a proper fly on that board.

Re: Fly box set up
Like you I have WAY too many flies and boxes but when you don't have it is when you need it! :) I'm old school and still use a vest....I have my dries in their own boxes by pattern and size, except the caddis dries, they have their own box. Wet flies have their own boxes, with some nymphs mixed in. ...

Blasphemous abomination!
And the dude is wearing a WORM CONTAINER to boot!!!
FWIW the rod looks like it was wrapped with spinning guides (at least the 2 visible). I bet the thing is effective, hell I might have gave it a go back in the day just to p!ss off the old-timers I ran with.

Re: who's going out on 2-8-23? close to 60*
After this cold snap and a warmer than average few weeks, the long range forecast is calling for colder/snowier weather from late Feb/March as La Nina dissipates and more arctic air can break through to the Northeast/mid-Atlantic region. I believe this tracks with what Puxatawny Phil said, so it mu...

Catch a few for me. I'll be participating in a Kaizen event all next week. That damn work thing really gets in the way of my fishing time!

Re: Anyone been out
The Dover-Booton sections are like 35 minutes away from me. Parts of the river is very scenic. close your eyes & it will remind you of the Musky ;) . Its a hot spot during stocking season for sure. Yeah especially if you like shopping carts, tires, sea containers, plastic bags, bums, bears, meth co...
