Fall Trout

Post by njcatchrelease » Sat Oct 20, 2018 11:36 pm

I was lucky enough to have Thursday & Friday off from work so I hit the river to search for some of the fall stocked trout. I found great weather, great water flows river temps hovering around 50 degrees and very few other fishermen.

Managed to land a total of 9 trout (8 rainbows from 13" to 16" and one 15" brown). All trout released for others to enjoy!

Now for the some trout porn...

Beautiful colors on some of those 'bows. Nice job.

Great fish! Some of the rainbows don't look like recent stockers and the brown must be wild. What did you get them on?

The brown took a black woolly bugger fly fished on a dead drift, the bows hot either a Rapala count down lure in rainbow trout color or a TroutA-Control Ranger lure.

Looks like a Musky Hatchery Brown. Thinking it came from the SBR.

Didn't fish the SBR, these were all caught on a different river.
