Garden State Trout

Hit the Black River up yesterday. Started at the Mill than drove down to Hacklebarney and fished some in there and walked Rhinehart Brook for a decent stretch just to check it out cause I've never done that before. Got one 14 inch rainbow on a red zebra midge. Some really nice looking water in the Black River.

I haven't fished there but it is on my list. A neighbor of mine says he fishes it in the winter and gets trout in the plunge pools beneath the waterfalls.

Tons of pocket water in the stretch between the two small streams. I havent fished it in a while but I need to drag my butt out there and do some fishing!
