Cold Temp Fishing

Post by njcatchrelease » Mon Nov 12, 2018 10:48 am

Hit the river on Sunday morning, air temp was 29 and the water temp was 40. I managed to pick up 2 nice browns and a rainbow while fishing streamers.

Here is some trout porn for you to enjoy.

Nice fish thanks for the pics. Upstate NY?

I hit a local WTS, caught two browns; nothing close to that size...LOL

Nope, these are Jersey trout! I'm guessing the browns were from a private club stocking that made their way into public water.

It's nice to see that private stockings are helping at least in some small way to fill the species void left by the state's present rainbows only stocking regimen. Nice fish!

See? Trickle-down stocking DOES work

Agreed. I'm going to guess this is the Musky between Asbury and Bloomsbury. :)

And could easily be a couple of other rivers (SBR, Black/Lamington, NBR)
