South Branch/Spruce run

Post by troutfishing4life » Sun Apr 22, 2018 9:42 am

Got out yesterday for a few hours of fly fishing. Ended with 15 rainbows all stockies. Some on the better than average side closer to 13 to 14 inches. Hot flies were flash back pheasant tails and hares ears. Only saw 1 rise and tried with a parachute adams but nothing. One of the rainbows from the south branch looked closer to one of the land lock salmon they stock in NJ than a regular stockie.

Brian told me it was fish stocked by Shannons. Its the kamploom rainbow. My buddy noahs big one from opening day was the same type. I got this fish where we fished opening day.
