Down below, saw no fish rising but had winged bugs later in the day also.

Wow, I haven't been out to that site in nearly ten years now. Never fished it, just put Joe Urbani in touch with the local landowner where the tributary and the SBR meet. Very nice couple, and I think they still live there last I heard. Wild fish in that trib as I'm sure you well know.

Most like LBS (little black stoneflies or little brown stoneflies). They will hatch on warmer, sunnier days during the heat of the afternoon. You can often find them crawling out on snow and ice along the river banks. And they tend to climb up your waders to launch when they hatch if you are wading this time of the year. They will continue into March and April, sometimes a bit later than that even. I have also seen some BWO mayflies out once or twice while doing river work or checking on restoration sites.

stocked rainbows and wild browns cant get enough of the lil bit twister tail on a jig :mrgreen:
