I'm running up to the West Branch tomorrow for some tailwater dry fly fishing.
Best of luck to you. I hope your new PB rises to the occasion.
Thanks Mike! Leaving shortly for an up and back.

I caught two small browns and a rainbow, then ended my evening catching a 22" brown on a rusty spinner (what else?) at dusk as sulphur and Iso spinners hit the water. A beautiful day, but not much hatching that day.

Well done Brian. I have rusty spinners imprinted on my brain for next trip when Iso's are out, wish I knew to tie one on when I was up there, myself and everyone around me were fixated on sulphers.

Like we talked about, that switch over from duns to spinners often happens just as you are questioning if you should keep fishing as it is getting dark, but your eyes will adjust and you will see you fly or close enough to set the hook when a fish eats your fly. And I go big at that hour, like a size 8 or 10 rusty spinner. Something I can see and something that makes a big silhouette on the river's surface for the trout to see.
