Stalking Sandpiper

Post by Razorbacker » Fri Oct 25, 2019 7:01 pm

I was in my deer blind late this afternoon and saw a funny sight. The blind is literally right on the bank of a WTS, and a sandpiper flew in and landed on the opposite bank and immediately started stalking something. At first I thought it was actually going after a squirrel playing on top of a big exposed roots pile, as it was slowly headed straight towards it. Then turned and stared into the water for 5-10 minutes. I guess there was nothing on the menu as it turned around and moseyed on upstream. I was hoping it didn't find a little wild brown.
