Water Temps?

Air temps have been pin-balling all over the place lately (we may see high 80s later this week), but has anyone noted water temps?

Cold. My waders leaked so I have empirical evidence. I didn't stop to take a temp cause the numbness in my feet told me it was below 60. Flows are good and temps are still on the lower side of optimal. I wouldn't sweat the warm spell this week, longer range forecast has us back into the higher 60's by Sunday up here in trout country.

Had 48 degrees at 9:00am on 2018-05-01 on one of the northern NJ rivers. Didn't take a reading later in the day but I am sure it came up.
